End of the Week

I've been having a wonderful week here in Minnesota. Lots of visiting, some driving around and shopping and even some crafting. But sadly, it's drawing to a close. I am going to miss my sweet cousin Linda... and keep wishing we lived closer.

Hope you have had a good week my special peeps. I've missed you. xo

Gone Fishing

Good morning from beautiful green New Brighton Minnesota. This is my view over coffee, a bit different than from the swing, right?

This morning Elizabeth is guest blogging for me over at her blog. I'll be drinking coffee and visiting with Linda, dreamy. So dreamy I'm taking a day off... or maybe two or three. In the mean time, check out all the wonderful KPKM quilt market blog posts.
See you later sweet bloggy people. xop

Snapshot

No amount of this will help. Seriously, what a day. Lots of walking lots of talking. Lots of me not recognizing people right off. I am notorious for not "getting it" when people use their real names. So I'm a little bit mortified about that. Anyway, today's photos brought to you without hyperlinks. I got up too late to get on that. Yesterday had us walking all over and then of course sample spree! Check twitpics for other photos, today I will be better about getting my regular camera out. Promise.
Quilt Dad and Jaybird!

Brenda and Lynette!

Kathy from Teacher's Pet.

Mary on Lake Pulaski!!

Sherri and the crew from This and That Patterns!

OMG Thimbleanna! SHOCKER TOTAL SURPRISE!! She is awfully inspiring!

Minnick and Simpson!

Lizzy House!

The actual shoes from Small Stash Sewing worn by the adorable Melissa Averinos of Yummygoods.
Tip of the people iceberg. OMG. Ok, time to get ready and going. Hope you guys have a great day.xo

Honestly

I'm here in MN and I love it so much. What a great state. Yesterday I walked down to the convention center to see what was up. Everyone is slaving away under some pretty hot and humid conditions inside. Not good lighting for photos I'm afraid. So mostly I chatted with people I haven't seen for 6 months. And it was great. Even though we're in the middle of a busy city I saw this little fellow out in front of the convention center. The little hedge was quivering with unseen creatures.. but this is the only thing I saw.

Later I hooked up with Monica and we met up with Brenda, Nireko and the wonderful people from Lecien for dinner over on Nicollet Mall. Look at this wonderful pub. We ate at Masa and it was wonderful. Saw some famous quilty peeps there..and heard some others had been there as well, but I didn't know it.

Anyway as in the long tradition of things forgotten, I need to score a watch today. Of all my watches I chose the one without a battery. Dork. But crazy, Monica's watch also needs a battery, coincidence, you be the judge.

Back at it in a little while, guess I should get busy getting ready. See you later quilty peeps.xo

Almost..

Like a lot of people, tomorrow I'm headed off to Minneapolis for quilt market. It's going to be very exciting seeing everyone again, and seeing all the wonderful new patterns, books, fabrics, tools, notions .. stuff !!!! As usual I had to make myself a new bag to tote around and stuff full. I love how it turned out ... we'll see how my hand sewing on those handles works out. Not my strong point.
It's not just quilt market for me.. I'm staying a week with my cousin Linda and her husband Mark. Did I mention this before? Because I'm so excited I probably did. Repeatedly.

I'll miss you while I'm gone!!! I'll work on lots of photos so when I'm back, I should have things to share! xop

P. S. Remember to keep checking the blogs on the Mr. Linky list!

So that was easy, right?

The things you see.

So peeps, how goes it? I had a great day yesterday visiting with Frankie. We had some lunch, went and ran some errands and then had some arts and crafts time. Frankie made her Allsorts bunting with a little help. Now I can't wait to work on mine. Thankfully in Minnesota I can find a little Dala horse to go with this set. On the way home, I was behind this truck. Seems like fate right?

Stimulating the Local Economy

Good morning! How goes it this fine Tuesday? I'm enjoying a cup of coffee inside today, the weather has turned brisk the past few days so my swing time has been limited. I guess this way I get more done.
ANYWAY. Before I go on and on about the weather.. thought I'd share the loot I scored last week from Kinokuniya. I don't see as many people posting about Japanese craft books anymore, are we over them? Maybe we're all cutting back on expenditures? I know it's been a while since I was there, and I had a hard time making decisions. I knew the flower book would be awesome, I'm pretty sure Amy has that. Here's a link to the flower book, the block book and the Cotton Time, which I thought was very good. (SuperBuzzy has everything but the CK book, this is my fav ebay seller for Japanese craftbooks.)
Once I found this Cath Kidston Mook I knew I had to bring Elizabeth back with me...she's a CK maniac. If I had a CK bag (with matching mirror and tissue holder) and didn't tell her about it I'd be in big trouble. Here's a link to one on ebay.
Check this out! It's a little clearance calendar. And can you just die over the little Choose Me! sticker? Because OMG I totally did.

Anyway that's it for my shameless consumption last week. This week is full of all kinds of wonderful activities, including spending tomorrow with Frankie and having lunch with Elizabeth and Nireko on Thursday! Ok, see you later aligators! xo

News Flash

Good morning good morning my fine feather friends, how are you? Did you have a lovely weekend? I hope so. It was quite nice here, and in fact Bret has taken the day off, so it's still weekend! I love that. The weather isn't cooperating for a nice day picking up in the yard but we'll still have fun. I know this is the same photo Elizabeth is showing.. but its so cute, I can't resist. Her backyard is so nice it was just fun to be there. Look at this cute patio set and her little fountain area. She's got the magic touch I tell you.
So what's the news... Elizabeth is releasing the new patterns today! I have three new patterns this time, Sugar Stars, Flower Power and Petunia Picnic, and she's got Zig Zag Too! and the much requested Coffee with Friends. She's also got some other fun news, so head over there to check it out!
Happy Monday my little peeps!
P. S. Thanks to Barbara for the lovely bundle of Simply Sweet for this pattern!

Paris

So yesterday was the opening of the new antiques collective, Paris Flea Market. It's open once a month and it was chock full of shopping ladies last night. Very fun. This is a sister store to Room with a Past in Walnut Creek, and we've enjoyed a lot of shopping there! Elizabeth was still working away and couldn't make it so I had to go on my own. Not. The. Same. She said the patterns should be ready soon, so we can start showing what we've been making! Yeah, I can't wait.
And speaking of not waiting... have you seen Holly's new fabric? Tea Time Florals Penelope is lovely! I love the new dark reds and blacks. Hop on over to her blog and check it out. I can't wait till quilt market!
Ok, better get a move on, Elizabeth and I are headed out this morning! Hope you guys have a great weekend.

Gardenscape

It's been a couple of very full days around here in PamKittyville. Yesterday I raced off at the first sign of great sunshine, Elizabeth and I had a plans for a photo shoot day. You can tell we make every effort to get a good photo. After that I raced down to Monterey to visit Frankie and return her phone. We had a great time walking up and down the farmer's market and I didn't even get any photos. She had told me about a street performer who had a rabbit that sat on his head. That seemed right up my alley, but he wasn't out yesterday. DANG IT. Tons of people though, the weather was amazing. We had a great dinner at Rosine's and then headed home to watch Happy Town before I left. Spooky!
Anyway... Elizabeth says we can start showing off our new stuff pretty soon! Market deadlines loom !!! Have a great day people! I'm off to catch up on some oddball stuff around here that needs doing. Then heading back to Elizabeth's. OMG people, her back yard was so pretty yesterday. Perfect mix of shade and sun.
Ok, see you later!

Coffee Klatsch

Morning peeps, how are things going with you? For starters this morning I though I'd show you this photo of what I've decided is the cutest bird bath base ever. Look at the rabbits and the little toadstool. Seriously, I could have just died over it. Frankie came up Sunday morning and the three of us went into Alameda for the antiques show. It was sold of course, and I know I'll be mourning its loss and fruitlessly hoping to someday find another. I know Joanna was going as well, I hope she didn't buy it. I'm thinking I'd definitely steal it when she wasn't home. Because LOOK AT IT. Yeah. See what I mean? You know you'd do it too.
Anyway, Frankie went home yesterday afternoon, and since Bret was working in San Jose we'd decided that we'd meet up in Gilroy for dinner. So she drove us down for some pre-dinner shopping.

Ahh, the Gilroy HomeGoods. It's been a while.

I tweeted about these.. then rounded the corner to see this. Holy cow, it's like HomeGoods missed me or something. (and wants me to bring Monica with me next time.)

Anyway I got a pack of the all polka dot flatware, it was too cute to pass up, and I (ha!) already have some of the gingham. I'll have another chance at the dinner ware ... Frankie left her phone and we'll meet up in the afternoon so I can drop it off.
Ok everybody... hope you have a great day. xop

Sunny

Good morning, how was the weekend? The weather was so nice here I can't believe it. The windows are already open this morning! FRESH AIR!!!

Friday night Joanna invited us over for some pre-market sewing. I snapped a few photos for your viewing pleasure. Joanna's new spring market offerings are wonderful, as usual. Just wait till you see all the beautiful fabric and patterns!

It was great. Hope you guys had a good weekend too. xo
