The Spy who Loved Me.

Last week Bret had to go back to Virginia on a business trip and he took Frankie with him. They usually hit the Smithsonian and the Monuments but this time they added a new stop... International Spy Museum. Talk about pea green with envy. They even took part in a Spy Experience. Good grief. Believe me, I will be all over that place when I join Bret in Virginia.
But instead, we're finishing up our market prep! Oh so very exciting. What are you up to?

Good thing times 100

Before spring quilt market I was invited to submit a block to Quiltmaker for their next 100 block magazine and holy cow people, I made the cut!!

You can read all about the latest issue over here on the Quiltmaker Blog. I'm excited to see it, but we'll all have to wait for November to roll around for that, right?

Hope you guys all had a great weekend. I'm putting the finishing touches on a couple of bags for Elizabeth. I can't get over how fast time is flying by.

So what's up with you guys?

Good morning my lovely people, how are you? We're having a bit of a hot spell here in Northern California. Two more days of mid 90s and then we'll be back to the cooler weather I love. We're lucky living here in the valley, the cool foggy air comes in from the bay and mornings are crisp. My window's are all open right now trying to cool off the house a bit.
October is a beautiful time of year on the coast and Monterey was sunny and warm when I went to see Frankie on Monday. We had lunch downtown at Rosine's and they had the french doors open and you could sit in the window. This little table opened up after we were seated. The temps were perfect.

Coming home to see this parked across the street was less than picturesque. There was a water leak and bright and early Tuesday morning the trucks pulled in and dug up a 2 foot wide section of the street. And parked all this in front of my driveway. Lucky I moved the car.

Even if I don't want to leave not being able to is the pits. Anyway by 3:30pm the water pipe was repaired, the roadwork completed and the guys were gone. It was great.

I've been stitching away on Elizabeth's bindings. She's designed some very pretty quilts for this market and it's been fun working on them. Hope you guys are having a great day! Tell me all about it! xo

Monday

So my wonderful friends, how was the weekend? It was good here, sunny and nice, not too hot, just really great fall weather. Bret and I went out Sunday in the late afternoon for a little ride around town. Saw this fellow and a couple of his friends out by Wente.
In the mean time I'm sewing bindings for Elizabeth, working on learning photoshop, stuff like that. Today I'm off to visit Frankie. I'm in my premarket lull. Hope you're having fun. xo

Friday

It seems like a perfect cool fall morning today. And Friday, gateway to the weekend. Even better.

I know it's late but I wanted to announce the winner of the drawing! It's Karin who writes "Yay for Angela! I had such fun on the blog hop. Thanks for continuing the fun!"

I hope you guys have a super weekend! Tell me all about it next week. xo

Hey p.s. did you see Holly is showing off her new line of fabric here? As usual I love it!

The winner is revealed

Good morning people! I'm sure you've all been over the Pat's blog, where she's revealed the winner of the Edge Ruler collections.
In case you didn't see it, it's Angela from My Three Sons. Congratulations Angela, happy measuring.
Thanks everyone for hopping with me in the Edge Blog hop. Leave me a comment today, and I will pick someone out of the comments to win a little surprise from me. I happen to have a copy of Alex's out of print Rotary Cutting book, autographed of course. It has some very cute patterns in it as well as those pesky cutting formulas. I also have a copy of the Start Quilting DVD and the Piecing Tips and Tricks Tool which I was tempted to keep for myself but I really love you guys.
Ok, that's it for today my lovely bloggy people. You guys are the greatest.

WHAT?

I am forced to reconsider my action. See what I mean?

The Life of Crime

As you may or may not know I spent my weekend hatching an evil plan. You can find out all about it here. Those kind of shenanigans are exhausting, and probably not a huge surprise to you, my faithful readers. Accuquilt even came out with an 'official' statement, and you can read it here on their Facebook page.
In the mean time I've got tons of pre-market sewing going on here. (I'm living a life of crime but I still have a job to do!!) While I have that new Redwork Rendezvous fabric, I might as well make Alex a new tote bag to carry her new Go! Baby Fabric cutter when it comes. Plus I have a bunch of blanket stitching for Elizabeth that I'll be starting on with my coffee this morning.
So what kind of trouble did you get into this weekend?

And so soon its over.

So I must have had a premonition when I took this picture of Pat at the Sullivan booth, right? Today is the last day of the hop, so be sure and visit Michele today, and stop by Pat's too! Thanks for all the wonderful comments this week. Remember to make sure and leave a comment on everyone's day to be entered into the drawing for the rulers! Have a great weekend!! xo

Keep Hopping

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Today's bloggers are some of my favorite people.. Carrie, Laurie and Polly and Cheryl. Pay them all a visit and leave a comment, you know you want a chance to win those rulers! If you didn't comment yesterday because you were too busy making fudge, there's still time, get on that.
So everybody, you guys have a great weekend!!! Thanks for all the great comments yesterday.
