Buying Happiness

I know you can't really buy happiness, but a trip to Diaso comes pretty close. We'd had a bit of a crisis here, our strawberry strainer broke over the weekend, and I needed a replacement. I love that little triangle shaped strainer tucked into the corner of the sink to catch things like tea bags and potato peels and other food recyclables. So you can see I had to go. Necessity.

Of course just stepping inside is a treat to me, it's almost like euphoria to see so many pretty colorful items. Of course that could also be the plastic off gassing... who knows.

I'm telling you, it's a happy place, see what I mean? They have everything. And them some.

Recently on twitter Katy was talking about making some little purses, and when I saw these I figured I could make some too. Hahahahaa I know.. I'll put them in the pile along with the glamp and all the other projects.

Thankfully it was mission accomplished. With a side of tiny strawberry bowls because HOW COULD I RESIST THEM??? It was clearly meant to be.

I know, kind of dime store chic but I love it.

I suppose I should count my blessings that they don't have Diaso in the Cleveland area. I would be in the poor house!

I always enjoy your post, we do not have Diaso store near us. I have been holding back on shopping but you would have to buy the strawberry strainer.

Dime store chic--always hard to resist. But you may be on to something with the plastic off gassing idea. It would explain a lot. :)

You're so lucky PKM -- we have nothing like that here. You'd be dangerous in a place like that -- you know, being a cute magnet and all!

I MUST go there! I love those little boxes with hooks!
Lucky me, it looks like there's lots of them in the South Bay.

Listen Ms. Kitty, when people say that money can't buy happiness, they don't know the right places to shop ;)

GMTA! I bought a pink and a red strawberry strainer like that when I was there last month! Some how I missed those mushroom watering gizmos (not that I have something to water). Course I did mine through the eraser rack, and of COURSE hit the wall o sponges! Only thing missing was you shopping with me!

The mobile phone accessory cracks me up - I do like to look my best when I'm on the phone!

Cracking up over Red Shoe's comment! And I'd like to add… or know PKM's shopping directory!

You know one of my fondest childhood memories is my mom taking me to the "5 and dime" store downtown. Cheap yes, fun YES! I'm a sucker for that stuff. Everything is so cute. I love my stuff. And I use it. Those purse handles are great. I just need to retake that class to use them.
